tix, etc. originated by Ornit Barkai in 1991. Originally called tix - work included a line of whimsical wall clocks. Then, soon after, came the etc. - with additional series of greeting cards, silk wear, painted furniture, light fixtures, and silver/gold accessories. Work is done in metal, wood, Lucite, stone, fabric and mixed media, using a wide array of techniques and styles.

tix, etc. offers an eclectic variety of hand crafted objects to a number of local galleries and has established wholesale accounts with stores nationwide.

Ornit Barkai is an accomplished artist and designer whose artwork featured and sold in galleries nationwide. Her art education and skills include architectural and graphic design, drawing and painting, silk screening, print, mixed media, stone carving and metal smithing.

Ornit Barkai holds an M.A. in Mass Communications from Emerson College, Boston, MA. She worked with radio and TV stations locally and internationally. These days she works as an independent producer, producing documentaries and multimedia projects.
